THE GOD WHO SEES ME

The God who sees me

EL RO’EE

Genesis 16:13 So she called Adonai who was speaking to her, “You are the God who sees me.”

Many gods in Egypt

The eye is the light of the body. Deut 6:6 frontlets between the eyes. We are to focus on the LORD, His word…

God gives us eyes in the front of our head for a reason. Looking backwards hinders our progress. Remember Lot’s wife.

Looking at difficulties depresses the. Peter sinks on the Galilee when he took his eyes off Yeshua Jesus.

However looking upward is the key.

John 11:41 Yeshua says to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”

41So they rolled away the stone. Yeshua lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard Me.

42I knew that You always hear Me; but because of this crowd standing around I said it, so that they may believe that You sent Me.”

43And when He had said this, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”

44He who had been dead came out, wrapped in burial clothes binding his hands and feet, with a cloth over his face. And Yeshua tells them, “Cut him loose, and let him go!”

John 17:1 Yeshua spoke these things; then, lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, so the Son may glorify You

Acts 1:10 So when they gathered together, they asked Him, “Lord, are You restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?”

7He said to them, “It is not your place to know the times or seasons which the Father has placed under His own control.

8But you will receive power when the Ruach ha-Kodesh has come upon you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and through all Judah, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

9After saying all this—while they were watching—He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

10While they were staring into heaven as He went up, suddenly two men stood with them in white clothing.

11They said, “Men of Galilee, why do you keep standing here staring into heaven? This Yeshua, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw Him go into heaven.”.

Acts 7:55 5But Stephen, full of the Ruach ha-Kodesh, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God—and Yeshua standing at the right hand of God.

56And he said, “Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

Anthropomorphisize

Psalm 33:6 Adonai’s word were the heavens made, and all their host by the breath of His mouth. 11The plan of Adonai stands forever, the purposes of His heart from generation to generation.

Psalm 139: 8-10 Where can I go from Your Ruach? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to heaven, You are there, and if I make my bed in Sheol, look, You are there too.If I take the wings of the dawn and settle on the other side of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will lay hold of me.

Eyes, hands, I have engraved you on the palms of my hand

feet

I Sam 16:7 But Adonai said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or his stature, because I have already refused him. For He does not see a man as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but Adonai looks into the heart.”

2 Chron 16:9

9For the eyes of Adonai range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are wholly His.

Job 34:21 For His eyes are on the ways of man; He sees all his steps.

Divine Vision

Psalm 11:4-7 Adonai is in His holy Temple. Adonai’s throne is in heaven. His eyes are watching. His eyelids observe the children of men. 5Adonai examines the righteous. But the wicked and one loving violence His soul hates. On the wicked He will rain down fire, brimstone and scorching wind as the portion of their cup! 7For Adonai is righteous—He loves justice. The upright will see His face.

Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will give counsel—My eye is on you.

Psalm 33:18 Behold, the eyes of Adonai are on those who fear Him, waiting for His love,to deliver their souls from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

Psalm 34:15 vs 16 in TLV The eyes of Adonai are on the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their cry.

Psalm 139:13-16 For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, forI am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You,When I was made in secret,

And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written

The days that were ordained for me,When as yet there was not one of them.

PProv 15:3 The eyes of Adonai are everywhere, observing the wicked and the good.

Jeremiah 32:16 -19 16After I had given the purchase deed to Baruch son of Neriah, I prayed to Adonai, saying:

17“Ah, my Lord Adonai! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm—nothing is too hard for You!

18You are the One doing mercy to thousands, but repaying the iniquity of the fathers into the lap of their children after them. Great, mighty God, Adonai-Tzva’ot is His Name!

19Great in counsel and mighty in deed, whose eyes are open to all the ways of the children of men, to give each one according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds.

Matt 6:4-6 But when you do tzadakah, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,

4so that your tzadakah may be in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, shall reward you.

5“When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites; for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners, so that they may be seen by others. Amen, I tell you, they have their reward in full!

6But you, when you pray, go into your inner room; and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, shall reward you.

Matt 6:18 as well so that your fasting won’t be evident to men, but to your Father who is in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.

1 Peter 3:12 For, “The one who loves life, wanting to see good days, must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.

11He must turn away from evil and do good. He must seek shalom and pursue it.

12For the eyes of Adonai are on the righteous and His ears open to their prayer, but the face of Adonai is against those who do evil.”

13Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?

14But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not be afraid or worry about their threats.

15Instead sanctify Messiah as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you,

16yet with humility and reverence—keeping a clear conscience so that, whatever you are accused of, those who abuse you for your good conduct in Messiah may be put to shame.

17For it is better to suffer for doing good (if it is God’s will) than for doing evil.

18For Messiah once suffered for sins also—the righteous for the unrighteous—in order to bring you to God. He was put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Ruach.

His eyes are on the sparrow

Why should I feel discouraged, Why should the shadows come, Why should my heart be lonely, And long for heaven, heaven and home, When, when Jesus is my portion, My constant Friend is He; Oh, oh-oh, his eye is on the sparrow, And I know He watched, watched it over me.

I sing because I'm happy (happy) I sing because I'm free (free free free) For His eye, his eye is on the sparrow, And I know, I know He watches over me.
